Maidenhead United pulled clear of the Blue Square South relegation zone in the with a 3-0 win at St Albans City.
John Hastings gave Maidenhead the lead on the stroke of half-time, with goals from Manny Williams and Ashley Smith sealing the win in the second-half.
Maidenhead manager Johnson Hippolyte told BBC Radio Berkshire the win has given his side some breathing space.
"It was a nice performance and it was a pleasing performance. The question is, can we kick on from here?" he said.
But Hippolyte was not surprised with the ease of the win: "We played them earlier in the season and we beat them 2-0 and that was comfortable.
"Our confidence is a little bit low, but theirs is even worse. We created six or seven chances and didn't give them a sniff. Our keeper had one save to make in 90 minutes.
"We didn't play any differently to how we've played the last two home games that we lost 1-0. What was different was that we took the chances."
Hippolyte said that having eased relegation concerns, the team must now push on:
"This season was always about not being relegated but we know we have enough good players that with a little bit of luck, we could be finishing in the top half."
