Mozambique coach Martin Nooij believes the Mambas are capable of stopping Tunisia from qualifying for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Mozambique, who host the Carthage Eagles on the final weekend of qualifying, have four points.
They hold the all-important third qualifying spot for the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola.
Nooij is confident his side can beat Tunisia and hand the World Cup place to Nigeria, who play Kenya at the weekend.
"I don't believe we will lose this match against Tunisia. We can draw, but we will fight for victory," Nooij told a Lagos-based radio station.
In a move that could irk fans in Tunisia, Nooij revealed that he would rather see the Super Eagles (at the World Cup) than the North Africans.
The faltering Super Eagles need to win their final match away to Kenya while hoping the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia lose or draw to Mozambique to clinch first place.
"I think Nigeria have an obligation to go to the World Cup. They have a good squad of wonderful players," said Nooij.
"Nigeria are two points behind Tunisia right now but that is not a big deal.
"We can try to beat Tunisia, otherwise, it will be a draw and then Nigeria can beat Kenya by two goals and qualify.
The Mambas held second-placed Nigeria and beat close rivals Kenya in the ongoing qualifiers.
