Mathare win first Kenya title
Mathare United sealed their first Kenya Premier League after a 2-1 win over Red Berets 2-1 at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday.
International striker Francis Ouma scored both goals for Mathare to ensure that they finish top of the league with 63 points.
Their closest rivals Sony Sugar also finished on 63 points after defeating Sher Karuturi 2-0 also on Saturday.
But Mathare claimed the title on better goal difference and will represent the country in next year's Champions League.
Ouma, who scored the brace on the final day, clinched the Golden Boot award with a total of 15 goals.
