Stars turn out for Kanoute match
A host of star players took part in a charity match in Spain on Tuesday night, organised by Mali and Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute.
The "Kanoute's Friends" team were 5-3 winners over the "International Team", in a match to raise money to fight infant mortality in sub-Saharan Africa.
The BBC African Footballer of the Year Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo was in action, along with Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o and Mahamadou Diarra of Mali.
Frenchman Thierry Henry, Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Croatia legend Davor Suker also took part in the game.
Around 30,000 people were in the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville for the "Champions for Africa" game.
It was also a tribute to Sevilla midfielder Antonio
Puerta, who collapsed during the opening league game of the
season and later died.
