Zambia lose as Cameroon draw

Zambia's Chris Katongo Zambia lost 4-1 to Andalucía while Cameroon drew 1-1 with another Spanish regional side Galicia on Thursday.

The two sides are both preparing for African Cup of Nations in Ghana next month, where they will be Group C rivals.

Chris Katongo's long range shot opened the scoring for the Chipolopolo against an Andalucía side that included Spain and Atletico Madrid's Jose Antonio Reyes.

The Spanish side then hit back with first-half goals from Real Betis' Arzu Garcia and David Barral from the penalty spot.

Manu Del Moral made it 3-1 soon after the break before Paco Gallardo sealed the win with an injury time penalty.

Cameroon salvaged a draw with Galicia thanks to their captain Rigobert Song, who converted a spot kick in injury time.

Galicia had taken the lead in the 73rd minute with another penalty scored by Julio Alvarez.

The Indomitable Lions played without striker Samuel Eto'o after his Spanish club Barcelona refused to release him for the game.

The crowd of 27,000 had to endure a 90 minute delay to the kick off as last minute financial negotiations took place behind the scenes.
