Chedjou extends Lille contract
Cameroon under-23 striker Aurelien Chedjou has extended his contract with French side Lille.
The 22-year-old signed the deal that will tie him to the Ligue One club until June 2010.
Chedjou, who joined the club from division two side Rouen in January, was handed the new contract despite playing just one game since joining the club.
"I am very glad to have prolonged my contract and from now I know I am tied to this club until 2010," Chedjou said.
"This means the coach has more time to look at me as I fight to gain a first-team shirt.
"I am working hard becasue it is necessary to prove with the coach that it was not mistake for him to extend my contract."
Chedjou is expected to play for Cameroon at next year's Olympic Games in China.
