Trabelsi's Saudi deal hits snag
Tunisian defender Hatem Trabelsi's move to Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal has fallen through.
The former Manchester City player agreed a deal worth US$1m with the Riyadh-based club last week.
He was expected to sign a one-year contract this week but has now returned to Tunisia after the deal hit a snag.
This was after the both sides failed to agree on the details of the contract.
The 30-year-old was left sweating on his future when released by English side Manchester City at the end of last season.
Despite offers from clubs in France, Germany, Turkey and his native Tunisia, Trabelsi failed to secure a contract.
Trabelsi spent five seasons with Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam before joining Manchester City on a free transfer last year.
He scored 13 goals in his four seasons at Tunisian side CS Sfaxien before clinching the deal to play for Ajax in 2001.
