Makinwa to miss Lesotho tie
Nigeria coach Austin Eguavoen has called up Jay Jay Okocha for next month's African Nations Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
The Qatar-based player will replace Stephen Makinwa, who is injured for the match on 7 October.
Okocha announced his return from international retirement last month but injury ruled him out of their opening Group Three match against Niger.
Makinwa, who plays for the Italian side Lazio, faces a month on the sidelines after suffering a thigh strain on Sunday.
The 23-year-old suffered the severe muscle damage while playing in the Serie A tie against Atalanta.
Makinkwa has scored a single goal in his four outings for Lazio this season.
