Guernsey's Sunday Soccer League has become the latest league to end its affiliation with the GFA in protest over changes to island football.
At the league's Annual General Meeting on Thursday night, league delegates voted 10-4 in favour of breaking away from the GFA.
They follow the Saturday League who ended their affiliation last month.
It follows new rules which mean players are only allowed to play for one club in the island.
It meant, for example, that players who wanted to play for a Priaulx League side would not be able to play social football as well.
The social leagues felt under threat by the plans and, in order to survive, say the only option they have left is to end their affiliation to the Guernsey Football Association.
The Sunday Soccer League's secretary, Mark Fallaize, has had to resign as a result of the decision.
He is a GFA affiliated referee and was unable to stay on in his role with the league as a result.
The Sunday league has appointed Rod Hamon as its new secretary.
He is the current president of the Saturday Football league and means he is now in control of both league who have rebelled.
"It's a very big vote of no-confidence in the GFA""It's a very big vote of no-confidence in the GFA," Fallaize said.
"I really don't know how it's going to go forward," he added.
But the new secretary said the decision did not mean that it was the end of the line for future links between the leagues and the GFA.
"We're always open to discuss anything with the GFA for future seasons but obviously for this season ahead it's all cut and dried that we'll run as two social leagues and the GFA will run as a central body," said the new Sunday Soccer League secretary.
