Are pushy parents ruining the beautiful game?

Have you ever witnessed a touchline tiff over a children's game?

Has someone you know given a referee or fellow parent a mouthful when it was your little ones playing?

Your experiences

Hundreds of parents, coaches, referees and players have been in touch with stories of fights, abuse, and delusional coaches, and how these things can and have been turned around at their club.

Newly-formed action group Give Us Back Our Game is leading the call for parents to stand back and let youngsters enjoy sport in a stress-free environment.

Their campaign combines an emphasis on the beautiful game, and encourages children to play four-a-side football matches and referee themselves - without bullish coaches or parents turning enjoyable kickabouts into high-pressure zones.
