England women continued their winning ways with a comfortable eight-wicket victory over India at Bath in the opening game of their one-day series.
Isa Guha and Jenny Gunn each took three wickets as the tourists were bowled out for only 124.
And a second-wicket stand of 70 between Caroline Atkins and Claire Taylor took England to the brink of victory.
Atkins was run out for 45, but Taylor ended the game on 40 not out as England reached the target with 14 overs left.
England have now won nine of the 11 games they have played this summer - the other two having no result because of rain.
And it was exactly the kind of performance skipper Charlotte Edwards was looking for against their toughest opponents so far - although the 17 wides sent down by her bowlers would have been a cause for concern.
India were rocked by the loss of three wickets with only six runs on the board after winning the toss, two of them to Guha, who had Jaya Sharma and Asha Rawat lbw for ducks.
Amita Sharma (34) and Mithali Raj (44) did their best to turn things round but Guha had Sharma caught by Nicki Shaw and Hemlata Kala (10) was the only Indian batter to reach double figures thereafter.
Raj edged spin bowler Holly Colvin to the keeper after hitting seven boundaries in her 75-ball innings as the last six wickets went down for only 25 runs.
Guha and Gunn had figures of 3-30 and 3-13 respectively, and there were two wickets each for Colvin and Katherine Brunt.
Facing such a moderate target, England took care to avoid early alarms but lost Sarah Taylor for 16 when she was caught off debutant Niranjan Nagarajan.
But her namesake, back in the side after missing three Twenty20 games against South Africa because of illness, and Atkins snuffed out any faint hopes India had of winning the game.
And although Atkins departed with England still 18 short of their target, Edwards came out to finish the job in style with three fours in her unbeaten 14 off 17 balls.
