Sreesanth quizzed over hotel spat

India pace bowler Sreesanth

Indian cricket officials are investigating an incident at a Bangalore hotel involving pace bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth.

India's media reported Sreesanth got into an argument with staff while he was staying in Bangalore last weekend.

Ratnakar Shetty, from the Indian Cricket Board said: "We have written to Sreesanth and the hotel for details."

Sreesanth was warned about his behaviour last month after a spat with Harbhajan Singh in a Twenty20 game.

He was slapped by Harbhajan at the end of the domestic league game, an incident which led to the off-spinner being banned for the rest of the league games and then suspended for five one-day games.

An executive at the hotel has apparently confirmed the incident involving Sreesanth took place and that he has lodged a complaint against the player.
