Sajid Mahmood was England's hero as they secured a three-wicket win to tie the one-day series against Pakistan.
The paceman was one of three home bowlers to take two wickets as Pakistan could only total 154-9, Younis Khan (47) top-scoring by some distance.
But England were in trouble on 118-7 after losing four wickets in as many overs, including Kevin Pietersen (34).
Mahmood kept his nerve to hit 22, adding 37 with Michael Yardy to see the hosts home with 19 overs to spare.
It was a nervous, yet satisfying, way to end the series for England after they had been dead and buried at 2-0 going to Trent Bridge on Friday.
A convincing win in Nottingham changed the mood in the camp and, after Andrew Strauss won the toss, they continued their good work in the west midlands.

Pakistan started off solidly enough, making 42-0 in 12 overs, but Chris Read ran out Imran Farhat to spark the loss of three wickets in three overs.
Batting was difficult on a pitch offering help to the seamers but Shahid Afridi missed with an injudicious heave off Jon Lewis to be bowled and Mohammad Hafeez dragged a delivery from Mahmood on to his stumps.
Mohammad Yousuf also drove Mahmood lazily to slip and Younis was relieved to see umpire Ian Gould rule his edge off the Lancashire paceman had not carried to Read.
Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was soon on his way, however, when Paul Collingwood (2-23) - playing his 100th one-day international - won a marginal lbw verdict.
When the all-rounder jagged one back to clean bowl Abdul Razzaq for his 50th one-day victim and Kamran Akmal cut Yardy behind, a complete rout was on the cards.
Younis and late scrapping around from Rao Iftikhar Anjum ensured that was avoided but only nine boundaries were scored in total.
Their score was put in perspective when Strauss set about Pakistan's pace attack - which was missing Shoaib Akhtar (knee) - and drove impressively to collect eight boundaries despite the early loss of Ed Joyce.
But when Ian Bell drove Asif to gully and Strauss edged Anjum to a flying Akmal, the situation had been turned on its head.
Pietersen was only going to play one way, however, and soon crashed Asif through the covers before launching a series of unorthodox and powerful shots.
He heaved Anjum airily through the vacant mid-wicket region before producing superb off and on-drives to make it four boundaries in the over.

Collingwood was not as fluent and saw Anjum drop a return catch before bringing up the fifty partnership and the 100 for England with a glance for four off Razzaq.
Pietersen triggered another collapse when he missed with an ugly swipe off Afridi, who beat Jamie Dalrymple with a straightish ball in the same over to win an lbw verdict.
Collingwood also fell leg before, to Razzaq, in the next over and Read recklessly hooked the medium-pacer to Rana Naved-ul-Hasan at long-leg to put England in serious trouble.
Mahmood was not about to let his early good work go to waste, however, and thumped three successive boundaries off Naved before Yardy sealed a winning end to the summer with a firm push off Asif.
