Rhodes not shocked by Hick move
Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes is not surprised that Graeme Hick is to play in the ICL.
Two months on from announcing his retirement, Hick has signed to play this winter for Chandigarh Lions.
And Rhodes does not blame Hick for opting to cash in, admitting: "There's a lot of people at it at the moment.
"Hicky's no longer a player registered with the ECB," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "If he's got an opportunity to make some money good luck to him."
Rhodes added: "If you look closely at the teams in the ICL, you'll see a lot of players who have retired from first-class cricket.
"If you play for the ICL you won't get a registration to play county cricket, although Paul Nixon is challenging that at the moment."
