Surrey re-sign Tudor in loan deal
Experienced fast bowler Alex Tudor has re-joined Surrey on loan from Essex.
The 31-year-old joined Essex in 2005 from Surrey but has failed to hold down a regular place and will leave the county at the end of the season.
Brown Caps coach Alan Butcher told BBC London 94.9: "I've known Alex has been available for loan for a little while.
"Sometimes you need to bring experience into the situation and he does have experience. We've had good reports on how he's performed at Essex."
He continued: "He's not fitting into their future plans and he's the type of bowler you need at The Oval, someone tall who hits the wicked hard.
"It didn't take too much thinking about to enter into the loan deal."
The former England international could make his debut against local rivals Sussex on Thursday.
Butcher said: "There's a strong possibility because we've had injury problems, illness issues as well."
