Surrey frustrated at Asif ruling
Surrey say they are disappointed that the Pakistan Cricket Board will not give Mohammed Asif clearance to play for the county this season.
Asif, 25, signed for Surrey in October but will instead spend the summer recovering from an elbow injury.
A Surrey spokesperson told BBC London 94.9: "We've have known about the situation for a while.
"We are very disappointed that the Pakistan Cricket Board will not allow Asif to play."
The spokesperson added: "We're having a great pre-season of training,
"We've got exciting players in the team and we're looking forward to the season ahead."
