Shah signs new Middlesex contract
England one-day batsman Owais Shah has signed a new contract with Middlesex.
Middlesex said the contract was a "long-term" deal but declined to disclose further details.
The 29-year-old Shah made his Middlesex debut in 1996 and has been a regular in the England one-day line-up since July 2007 but has only played two Tests.
He said: "Not playing for Middlesex and at Lord's was one I couldn't come to terms with. I'm sure we can challenge for honours in the next few years."
In July, Shah helped Middlesex to victory in the Twenty20 Cup with 75 off 35 balls against Kent.
Chief executive Vinny Codrington added: "It is great news that a player as highly rated as Owais has committed his future to Middlesex."
"With players of his quality in the side, I am sure we can build on the success achieved this year."
