Murtagh swaps Surrey for Lord's

T Murtagh Seam bowler Tim Murtagh is to cross London to join Middlesex from Surrey on a two-year contract.

Murtagh, 25, played only twice in the Championship last summer but expects to have more opportunities at Lord's.

He said: "I have enjoyed my time at Surrey and take with me great memories but am delighted to join Middlesex."

Middlesex director of cricket John Emburey added: "We are pleased to welcome Tim to our squad for next year. He will add depth to our side."

Emburey will be assisted by a new 1st XI coach next season. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in mid-January.
