Ireland lose again to Bangladesh

Bangladesh completed a 3-0 whitewash over Ireland by winning the third one-day international between the sides by 79 runs at Mirpur on Saturday.

The hosts made 293-7 off their 50 overs with Tamim Iqbal scoring 129 off 137 balls and Shahriar Nafees making 54.

Dave Langford-Smith took 3-53 while Alex Cusack and Kevin O'Brien both claimed two wickets.

Niall O'Brien top-scored with 70 but there were four run-outs and Ireland were all out for 214 after 45.3 overs.

Ireland captain Trent Johnston announced after the match that he would take a break from international cricket with immediate effect and will miss this summer's Friends Provident Trophy campaign.
