Russell turns out for Taylor game

Jack Russell

Ex-wicketkeeper Jack Russell is among a host of Gloucestershire players confirmed for Chris Taylor's benefit match against Stone on Friday.

Russell and former team-mate Mark Hardinges join current Gloucestershire players Alex Gidman, Hamish Marshall, Jon Lewis and Steve Kirby for the game.

"I've got to find my whites first," Russell told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"My old hat needs a major overhaul so I probably won't wear it, but the dirty old pads might be out there."

The match is being played at Stone Cricket Club near the A38 between Bristol and Gloucester, starting at 1830 BST.
