Glos hand benefit year to Taylor
Former Gloucestershire captain Chris Taylor has been awarded a benefit year for the 2009 season.
The 32-year-old batsman made his first-class debut in 2000 and has scored more than 6,000 runs for Gloucestershire.
Taylor told the club's website: "I feel extremely proud and honoured to have been awarded a benefit year for 2009.
"It is a privilege to follow in the footsteps of some true Gloucestershire legends and I would like to thank all those at the club for the opportunity."
The club will announce the details of Taylor's benefit year activities at a later date.
