Cosgrove set for Glamorgan finale

Mark Cosgrove needs 165 runs to pass 1000 for the season Mark Cosgrove will make his final appearance of the season for Glamorgan on Wednesday away to Surrey at The Oval in their County Championship match.

The Australian needs 165 runs in his farewell four-day match to reach 1000 first-class runs for the season.

He will then join an Australia training camp ahead of their Tri-Nation series with West Indies and India in Malaysia.

James Franklin returns for Glamorgan having missed the last four-day game at Taunton with a back injury.

Glamorgan have also named Huw Waters and 16-year-old James Harris in their 12-man party for the match with Surrey.

Should Harris play, at 16 years and 106 days old, he would become the fourth youngest player Glamorgan have ever chosen for a first-class match.

Glamorgan squad: MJ Cosgrove, RE Watkins, DL Hemp, MJ Powell, RN Grant, JEC Franklin, MA Wallace (wkt), RDB Croft (capt), DS Harrison, DA Cosker, HT Waters and JAR Harris.
