Pettini signs new Essex contract
Essex captain Mark Pettini has signed a two-year contract extension, taking him up to the end of the 2011 season.
The 25-year-old's current deal was due to finish next summer.
The right-handed batsman made his debut for the county seven years ago and became the club captain after Ronnie Irani's retirement last year.
He told the Essex CCC website: "I'm delighted to finally put pen to paper, I've been trying to sort this out most of season, but it was a busy summer."
