Flower signs new deal with Essex

"I seemed to play more as a bowler towards the end of last season but wherever I play I'm pretty relaxed"
Grant Flower

Grant Flower All-rounder Grant Flower has signed a new two-year contract with Essex, keeping him at the Chelmsford-based club until the end of the 2008 season.

The 35-year-old former Zimbabwe star was not a regular in the Championship side, making only six appearances.

And he told the club website: "I see myself more now in the one-day set-up.

"But if there are injuries or loss of form hopefully I can take my chances in the Championship side as well. If I've got some sort of role I'll be happy."
