Doshi is released by Derbyshire
Derbyshire have granted a request from bowler Nayan Doshi to be released from his contract with immediate effect.
The ex-Surrey left arm spinner, 29, only joined Derbyshire ahead of the 2008 season on a two-year contract.
It completed a shambolic 48 hours for the club, who on Wednesday lost the man they had signed as captain, when Rikki Clarke moved to Warwickshire.
Clarke had also spent just one season on the Derbyshire staff, who began the summer with high hopes of success.
Derbyshire head of cricket John Morris said: "Following Nayan's request to be released from his contract, this is the best solution for both parties.
"I wish him all the best for his future career."
