Bears sign Clarke from Derbyshire
Former England all-rounder Rikki Clarke has been released from his Derbyshire contract to join Warwickshire.
Derbyshire chairman Don Amott told BBC Radio Derby: "Things just haven't worked out with Rikki and the club.
"Rikki asked to be released from his contract and we've agreed to it. We can't see any point in a player who doesn't want to play for the club."
Clarke joined was named Derbyshire captain when he moved from Surrey in October 2007 but resigned in August.
"It was all done very nicely. We've shook hands and we wish Rikki all the best for the future," added Amott.
