Rain hits vital Trent Bridge game

County Championship Div One: Trent Bridge, day three:
Nottinghamshire 46-2 v Somerset 252

No play on Friday - rain
Match scorecard

Day three of the top of the table match between Nottinghamshire and Somerset was abandoned without a ball bowled.

Persistent rain at Trent Bridge ruled out any play and the final day looks likely to be a battle for bonus points.

Notts, who began this match three points ahead having played a game more, have so far earned three bowling points for dismissing Somerset for 252.

Somerset's score earned them only two bonus points and they will hope for wickets to accrue bonus bowling points.
