Day three lost to rain at Durham

County Championship Div One, Riverside, day three:
Durham 280-3 v Lancashire

No play Friday - rain
Match scorecard

The match between Durham and Lancashire is almost certain to be drawn after rain wiped out day three without a ball being bowled at the Riverside.

After 97 overs were lost on the first two days there is little chance of anything else, with Durham on 280-3.

Durham, who began the match 10 points behind leaders Notts with a game in hand, currently have two bonus points.

Lancashire, only two points clear of the relegation zone, have just the one bonus point for taking three wickets.
