Blackpool suffers total washout
County Championship, D1, Blackpool:
Lancashire v Surrey - no play possible
Lancashire 4 pts, Surrey 4
Lancashire and Surrey were put out of their misery when the Championship game at Blackpool was abandoned by the umpires early on the final morning.
No play was possible over the four days at a waterlogged Stanley Park.
"There is no way that we could ask anybody to play cricket out there," said umpire Jeremy Lloyds.
Both sides received four points but the outcome dented Lancashire's title hopes and left Surrey bottom of the table, still without a win this season.
