Essex ease to win over Glamorgan
NatWest Pro 40 D2, Colchester:
Essex 231-9 (40 overs) beat Glamorgan 101 (30.4 overs) by 130 runsMatch scorecard
Essex secured a commanding win over Glamorgan to continue their challenge for the Division Two Pro40 title.
Mark Pettini got the home side's innings off to a promising start and scored 70 off 61 balls.
Andy Flower contributed with 53 as Essex set a target of 232, which proved too much for a sorry Glamorgan.
They lost openers Robert Croft and David Hemp for ducks and, despite Jamie Dalrymple's 51, the visitors were dismissed for 101.
The loss was Glamorgan's second defeat in the competition but Essex are still unbeaten after six games, one of which ended in a tie.
