Neil Dexter hit an unbeaten 101 to help Kent beat Somerset by 37 runs and set up a Friends Provident Trophy semi-final against holders Durham.
Dexter, a late replacement for Martin van Jaarsveld, helped Kent to 259-5 before Somerset were all out for 222.
He combined with second top-scorer Robert Key (73) for a second-wicket stand of 104 off 20 overs.
Craig Kieswetter was Somerset's top scorer with 90 but all six Kent bowlers claimed wickets as they sealed victory.
Key and Joe Denley made a decent start for Kent before Denley was bowled out for 36 by Alfonso Thomas.
This brought Dexter to the crease and he took advantage of being dropped by Steffan Jones to rack up his first 50 runs off 66 balls.
Key was also looking industrious, hitting Ben Phillips for six, only to be caught behind off the next delivery.
Justin Kemp, Darren Stevens and Azhar Mahmood came and went cheaply, with Geraint Jones the other unbeaten batsman at the end of the Kent innings.
Yasir Arafat made early inroads into Somerset's top order when he had Marcus Trescothick caught at second slip for just five runs.
Kieswetter and Justin Langer (36) put on 80 for the second wicket before Langer was caught behind off James Tredwell.
His replacement James Hildreth made 11, followed by Ian Blackwell, who scored 18 before being run out by Darren Stevens's long-distance direct hit.
The wickets continued to fall steadily, with Kieswetter providing the only serious resistance, and when he was caught at deep wide mid-wicket off Stevens for 90, Somerset's hopes died.
The last four wickets fell for just 18 runs, with the final two coming off successive balls on the total of 222.
Arafat, with figures of 3-23, was Kent's most productive bowler.
