Hampshire-Kent lose a day to rain
COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION ONE
Rose Bowl: Hampshire v Kent
Scorecard
Heavy overnight rain forced the umpires to abandon the first day of the County Championship Division One match between Hampshire and Kent at the Rose Bowl.
Jeremy Lloyds and John Holder made two inspections, the last at 1330 BST, but had no option but to call the day's play off without a ball being bowled.
The rain had left pools of water on the outfield and although the morning was dry there was no way play could start.
The teams will hope for better weather so they can start the game on Saturday.
