Surrey ease to win over Glamorgan
Pro40 Divison Two, The Oval:
Surrey 280-8 bt Glamorgan 227 by 53 runs
Chris Schofield smashed a quickfire half-century to set Surrey on their way to a 53-run victory in the Division Two match against Glamorgan at the Oval.
Schofield hit 51 from 35 balls, with three fours and two sixes, as Surrey made 280-8 from their 40 overs.
Scott Newman (58) and Alistair Brown (56) also helped build a big total.
And, despite David Hemp (59) making the biggest Glamorgan score in the competition this year, the visitors slumped to 227 all out in reply.
