Ramprakash reprieved on damp day

Scott Newman hit a fluent drive to the mid-on boundary and then completed an all-run four, before falling lbw in the fourth over to one that came back in.

Andrew Hall took that wicket but was denied the top prize, that of prolific Mark Ramprakash, who was dropped low at short-leg on nought by Joe Denly.

In Hall's next over Ramprakash got off the mark with a straight driven four.
