Surrey embarrass toothless Sharks
Twenty20 Cup, Hove: Surrey 168-6 (20 overs) bt Sussex 68 (16.5 overs) by 100 runs
Sussex slumped to an embarrassing 100-run defeat to arch-rivals Surrey in front of their home crowd at Hove.
Opener James Benning top-scored with 41 as league leaders Surrey made a fair but unimposing 168-6 in their 20 overs, Robin Martin-Jenkins taking 2-26.
But it was a horror show for Sussex in response, Rana Naved (21) the only player reaching double figures.
Chris Schofield took 4-12 as the Sharks collapsed from 47-3 to 68 all out, denting their quarter-final prospects.
