Rain leaves Glamorgan frustrated

NatWest Pro40 D1, Colwyn Bay: Glamorgan v Warwickshire 120-6 (29 overs)
No result possible, one point each

Rain prevented a result at Colwyn Bay as Glamorgan and Warwickshire had to settle for a point each in their NatWest Pro 40 Division One match.

The Bears were struggling at 120-6 after 29 overs when the weather intervened, with no more play possible.

Glamorgan's David Harrison removed both Warwickshire openers cheaply with Navdeep Poonia, who made 47 off 49 balls, the only batsman to prosper.

Ryan Watkins also claimed two wickets while Ian Westwood was unbeaten on 25.

The rain stopped at one stage, with Glamorgan facing a target of 136 from 29 overs under the Duckworth-Lewis method.

But the players never got back onto the field, with umpires Trevor Jesty and Tim Robinson abandoning the match at 1805.
