Pakistan cruise past hosts Canada

Pakistan comfortably beat Canada by 35 runs on Friday thanks to the batting efforts of Salman Butt in the King City Twenty20 event in Toronto.
After electing to bat, Pakistan's Butt dazzled with 74 from 56 balls as they ended on 137-7 with Harvir Baidwan and Umar Bhatti each taking three wickets.
Canada battled hard with Rizwan Cheema scoring 34 and Ramesh Randeer David and Sunil Dhaniram both making 17.
The Canadians made 102-9 with Shoaib Akhtar taking 2-11 off three overs.
Sohail Tanvir and Shoaib Malik also grabbed two wickets apiece for Pakistan.
