Asia Cup, Karachi
Pakistan 116-0 beat Bangladesh 115 by 10 wickets
Match scorecard

Pakistan crushed a hapless Bangladesh by 10 wickets in a meaningless last Asia Cup match ahead of Sunday's final between Sri Lanka and India.

Paceman Abdur Rauf took a career-best 3-24 in Karachi, helping bowl out the visitors for just 115 in 38.2 overs after Bangladesh had won the toss.

Nasir Jamshed (52) and fellow opener Salman Butt (56) were able to see the home team through at a canter.

They raced to their target in the 20th over, Butt hitting 10 boundaries.

Bangladesh's batsmen never looked at ease against disciplined Pakistan bowling.

Rauf, whose previous best of 3-45 came in his debut match against Zimbabwe earlier this year, dismissed opener Nazimuddin (three), captain Mohammad Ashraful (14) and Tamim Iqbal (26) in his incisive seven-over spell.

Tamim was the only batsman to make at least 20.

Pakistan dropped out-of-form all-rounder Shahid Afridi from the line-up which beat India on Wednesday.

And captain Shoaib Malik, who missed the last match due to dehydration, returned after regaining full fitness.

Though not required to bat, Malik was one of five Pakistani bowlers to take at least one wicket in what was a very one-sided match.
