Sri Lanka coast to win over UAE

Sri Lanka 290-9 (50 ovs) bt UAE 148 (36.3 ovs) by 142 runs

Sri Lanka recorded a comfortable 142-run victory over United Arab Emirates but were given a scare in the final Group A match at the Asia Cup.
Having lost Kumar Sangakkara for a duck in the first over, skipper Mahela Jayawardene struck 61, sharing 114 in 14 overs with Mahela Udawatte (67).
But five wickets fell in 15 overs as the Sri Lankans compiled 290-9.
Amjad Ali (77) hit three fours in the first over in reply but Ajantha Mendis took 5-22 with his slow medium-pacers.
