Jersey ready for Singapore opener
Jersey's cricketers are fitter than they have ever been and raring to go for the arrival of the ICC World Cricket League in the island.
Jersey's first match in the Division Five tournament is against Singapore at Grainville on Friday.
And captain Matt Hague told BBC Jersey: "The tournament is almost on us. We're just looking to get started.
"I think there's not a lot known about any of the teams really, but I don't think that's a bad thing either."
Also in Group B are Afghanistan who should prove to be Jersey's fiercest competition.
Jersey play Afghanistan next Wednesday in a game that should decide the group, but Hague said he is not too concerned.
"I think obviously they should be a good team and it'll be nice to play them," said Hague. "We'll just concentrate on our game and play our best, and hopefully that will be enough."
