GUYANA: PROVIDENCE STADIUM
The brand new 16,000-seater Providence Stadium replaces Bourda as the home of international cricket in Guyana, which is actually part of South America.
Built on the outskirts of Georgetown, the state-of-the-art venue will host six Super 8s games.
A shopping mall and hotel will be part of the complex, which is being built thanks to Indian government funding.
The weather has proved a problem for matches staged in the area in the past, with heavy rain often curtailing play.
Local hero: Clive Lloyd's captaincy from 1974 to 1984 transformed the West Indies into a fearsome force. His often flamboyant batting earned him more than 7,500 runs and has served as a coach, commentator and official after retiring.
