Live cricket on the BBC

BBC cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew

Test Match Special returns in November for ball-by-ball commentary on England's tour of South Africa on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra, BBC Radio 4 Long Wave and via the BBC Sport website for UK listeners.

5 live will have regular updates on the warm-up games - then, starting on Friday, 13 November, England will play two Twenty20 internationals, a five-match one-day international series and four Test matches.

BBC cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew will lead the commentary team which will also include TMS's new signing - England's most successful captain of all time, Michael Vaughan.

HOW TO LISTEN TO TMS

Joining Aggers on commentary duties will be Simon Mann, Christopher Martin-Jenkins and popular South African broadcaster Gerald de Kock, with Geoff Boycott and Vic Marks among those others offering expert analysis.

As well as Vaughan, former England coach Duncan Fletcher - now working as a consultant for South Africa - joins TMS in Cape Town for the third Test and third ODI, which both take place in his home town.

Ex-England seamer Matthew Hoggard and former South African star Daryl Cullinan will also be part of the TMS team for the one-dayers, with former Proteas captain Shaun Pollock appearing during the Tests.

BBC Radio 5 live will have its usual updates every 15 minutes on all international games with Alison Mitchell and Kevin Howells.

Jonathan Agnew and Geoff Boycott will present their legendary TMS podcast following each day of international cricket - while you can also follow Aggers and Alison on Twitter.

There will also be extensive coverage on the BBC Sport website including live text commentary, features and blogs.

England are then scheduled to tour Bangladesh before travelling to the West Indies at the end of April for the latest ICC World Twenty20.

You can get in touch with the programme by e-mailing tms@bbc.co.uk or texting 84040.

You can also access the BBC Ashes Archive at bbc.co.uk/ashesarchive for some famous historical moments from the past, as described by TMS.

In December 2008, BBC Sport agreed a new radio rights deal with the England & Wales Cricket Board, which means TMS will be on air up to and including 2013.

Most cricket broadcast via the BBC Sport website is available to UK users only, although Test Match Special is available worldwide via the website for England's home matches.
