Johnston to make return to ring

Gary Johnston

Stoke boxer Danny Johnston will return to the ring after a 12-month absence by fighting two bouts in three weeks.

He will face Peter Dunn on 17 May before taking on Birmingham's Terry Adams for the International Masters Title at Trentham Gardens on 6 June.

"I've been working very hard to be ready when the time comes and I'll give it my best shot to win this," said the light-middleweight.

"Terry Adams can de dangerous and whoever wins will deserve the title."

Johnston has home advantage against the more experienced Adams and says he is more focused than ever.

"I haven't always taken my career seriously since turning professional," he admitted.

"But I'm committed now and I'm putting everything into getting back on track."
