Douglas struggles for technique

Nathan Douglas

Oxford-born triple jumper Nathan Douglas says he is still struggling to regain his technique after two years of major injury problems.

Douglas is set to take part in the UK Championships this weekend in Birmingham, where he lives.

"I had my big injury in 2007 which really knocked me for 2008, and I have had technical problems," the 26-year-old told BBC Oxford.

"Since then it has been hard to re-find my technical stuff."

He added: "We have actually tried to change a few things which I haven't been able to grasp as much as we'd have liked.

"We are trying to go back towards my normal technique, but it is hard finding it."
