Dobriskey takes Manhattan victory
Britain's Lisa Dobriskey produced a storming finish to win the Continental Airlines Fifth Avenue Mile in New York.
The Ashford-born athlete, 24, narrowly missed out on the Olympic 1500m bronze medal in Beijing last month.
But she continued her purple patch of form since finishing fourth in Beijing to score a thrilling victory ahead of Shannon Rowberry in the Manhattan.
The 2006 Commonwealth champion clocked four minutes 18.6 seconds to prevent Rowberry scoring a home victory.
The American had to settle for second place with a time of 4:19.2.
