Kenney delighted with debut run
Loughborough University's Laura Kenney was delighted with her senior international debut display at Sunday's cross-country World Championships.
The British cross-country champion, 23, finished in 38th spot in Edinburgh.
Kenney said the run convinced her she has made the right decision to pledge her international future to Scotland.
"I've been thinking about it for a long time but getting my first senior vest on Scottish soil has made it seem the perfect time and choice."
Kenney is the reigning European under-23 5,000m champion, who recently had her application for Scottish eligibility accepted.
She added: "It follows a long tradition of Scottish running connections in my family.
"My dad also represented Scotland at cross-country and marathon and it's great to follow in his footsteps."
