23 September:
Rugby League: Celtic Crusaders stand-off Damien Quinn has picked up the Co-operative National League One Player of the Year award at a glittering event at Elland Road in Leeds.

Fellow Crusaders stars Tony Duggan, Mark Dalle Cort, Darren Mapp and Neale Wyatt joined Quinn in the National League One Team of the Year.

Crusaders Colts coach Dan Clements picked up the Conference National Coach of the Year award, but first team coach John Dixon missed out on the big prize in National League One to Salford City Reds' Shaun McRae.

Football: After striking a deal with their main sponsors, Welsh Premier League side Welshpool Town will now be known as Technogroup Welshpool FC.

Rugby Union: The Welsh Rugby Union have appointed Ebbw Vale head coach Will Thomas as regional performance development manager for the Dragons region as one of four new appointments.

Gethin Watts has been appointed into the corresponding role within the Blues region, having previously been WRU academy manager at the Ospreys, while Kevin George, formerly Scarlets academy manager, will carry out this development role with the Scarlets region.

The regional performance development manager role within the Ospreys region is currently vacant and will be advertised on the WRU website this week.

Rugby union: Former Ospreys boss Kevin Hopkins has joined the board of Bridgend Ravens RFC to advise on rugby matters.

Hopkins will stand in for Colin Hillman, who is recovering from illness.

Rugby union: Wales national squad nutritionist Dan Kings is leaving the Welsh Rugby Union to pursue a new career development path outside the organisation after six and a half years in the role.

He will work at elite level in rugby and other sports inside and outside Wales to progress his career path in nutrition performance management.
