Ponty delay fly-half decision
Lee Jarvis
Lee Jarvis must sit and wait
Pontypridd's Lee Jarvis and Ceri Sweeney must sweat it out as they wait to see who will win the number ten jersey for Sunday's Heineken Cup tie at Glasgow Caledonians on Sunday.

The Sardis Road side make wholesale changes from their last Welsh/Scottish league outing - the 59-19 Boxing Day demolition of Cross Keys.

Brett Davey comes in at full-back; Sonny Parker and Jon Bryant for Jason Lewis and Jon Colderley in the centre; and Lenny Woodard onto the left wing for Alan Hunte.

Nalu Tau and Jon Evans combine at loose-head prop and hooker in place of Christian Loader and Feoa Vunipola.

Robert Sidloi returns to the second row and Richard Parks and Michael Owen to the back row.

Motivation

Pontypridd currently lie third in Pool 6 behind joint leaders Pau and Leicester.

Scrumhalf Paul John admits their chances of qualifying to the quarter finals are slim, but he hasn't yet given up all hope.

Paul John: Looking for a better performance

"In order to qualify, we know that we need other results to go our way," said John.

"But we need to pick our game up and hopefully this game will give us the kick-start we need.

"So our motivation is to start playing well again. If we do that, I think we've got a good chance of winning both our remaining games."

He added: "Glasgow are playing very well at the moment - they're a very strong side.

"We realise it'll be a tough match, but we're looking forward to it."
