New kit deal for Wales
New Wales captain Mark Taylor
Wales' shirt will have a sponsor in the game against Samoa
Wales have signed a four-year sponsorship package reported to be worth 2m with leading telecommunications operators Redstone Telcom plc.

Welsh Rugby Union chairman Glanmor Griffiths described the link-up as "one of the biggest and most significant sponsorship deals we have ever signed."

It is also the first time in the 119 year history of Welsh rugby that the famous red jersey will have a sponsor's name on it.

Redstone will become official backers of Mark Taylor's Wales team. The deal also incorporates the Wales A and Wales Sevens sides.

"This is the third major sponsorship deal the WRU has been able to secure in the past three months and we are delighted to have such a rapidly evolving and successful company as Redstone backing our national team," said Griffiths.

Wales will wear their new kit for the first time against New Zealand A at the Millennium Stadium on Friday and then the following day against Samoa.
