Millwall midfielder Dennis Wise will be in the spotlight trying to shake off football's poor reputation in the world of Superstars.
Of his illustrious predecessors - including the likes of Bobby Moore and Bobby Charlton - only Kevin Keegan has really covered himself in glory.
And little Wise will have his work cut out for him against big men Martin Offiah and Du'aine Ladejo.
The fiercely-competitive Bell brothers also have their admirers, with older brother Martin a veteran of the 1983 junior Superstars.
But the story of the group belongs to six-times former champ Brian Hooper.
Called up at the last minute, the 50-year-old bemoans his lack of preparation but still expects to compete.
"I was British Masters weightlifting champion last year, but my body is a tad broken. I have a good chance of finishing, but not in one piece."
Brian Jacks predicts. . .
"I'll go for Martin Offiah and Du'aine Ladego - they are both big strong lads, who could have the edge in this company.
"It will be a bridge too far for my old mate Brian Hooper, but I'm sure he'll put in a brave effort and he may surprise one or two people."
